The concert manager will be at the Cathedral at 6.30pm.
Please note that this rehearsal is longer than usual so that we can introduce guest singers and the children’s choir. It is ESSENTIAL that everyone is in their places by 7.15. This is the first time that we will be on the banked staging and the concert manager will need to ensure that everyone is in the correct position. Sops and Alts please mount the stage FROM FRONT ROW FIRST as per the TE DEUM Seating Plans that will be in front of the transepts. Ts and Bs please stand in front of the choir but behind the orchestra in RHAPSODY format standing plans that will be in front of the transepts. TAKE CARE AS THERE WILL BENCHES IN THIS AREA. After ensuring that everyone is in place the Ts and Bs will proceed to their places for TE DEUM. REMEMBER PLEASE THAT THE SEATING PLAN IS DIFFERENT. At 7.25 we will welcome the children’s choir.
The rehearsal programme will be Berlioz followed by Brahms followed by Faure. After the first Berlioz session there will be a very short break whilst the children’s choir leave us and their benches are removed. After the second Berlioz session without the children's choir Ts and Bs to line up in front of the choir in RHAPSODY format for their rehearsal. Ss and Ts to remain seated where they are remaining as quiet as possible showing respect for their fellow choir members.
PLEASE NOTE: Refreshments are not being provided so PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN. It may be a warm evening and rehydration is important not just for your health but also for your voice.
After the Brahms rehearsal Ts and Bs are finished for the evening and may depart. Adrian will then rehearse the Faure with Ss and As.
IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE YOUR PLACE IN THE CHOIR IN ALL FORMATS. THIS IS YOUR SPACE FOR THE CONCERT PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO YOUR NEIGHBOUR. PLEASE INFORM YOUR NEIGHBOUR IF YOU THINK YOU MAY NEED YOUR SPACE SAVED AT ANY TIME.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
